The Cole Family in St Pancras .............1841 - 1851
The1841 census (left) shows the 8 year old Henry Cole living with his parents in Loxton Place. His father Daniel Cole had married a widower Elizabeth Challis and they were living with her two children from her previous marriage. Daniel Cole's occupation is shown as independent means.
The 1851 census (below) shows the family ten years later. Daniel Cole had now died, and the family had moved to Frederick Street. Henry Cole now is shown as 17 years old and employed as an Attorney's clerk. His mother Eliza Cole is a dress maker as is her niece Elizabeth Marsh and her daughter Elizabeth
