Aitchison & Musgrove Families 5 Princes Street St Pancras
The
1851 census shows George Aithchison the cabinet maker still living
in the same house in Hertford Street, which is now renamed Princes
Street. This is the first time our George is mentioned
in a census. As
can be seen he is them grandson of the above aged six. The eldest daughter Christiana
Thomas, thirty
three
(the
Thomas
is
a mistake)
She
is
married
to Thomas Musgrove (this is where the surname came from). The census taker must
have asked her for her husband's name and she said Thomas instead of saying
Musgrove. He was not
at the house when the census was taken.
Her
daughter
Christiana
aged seven was eventually to marry our George.
